Drywall Wizard Dayton, Ohio (Customer review)
I would not recommend this company for any work in your home!! I hired them to fix 1-sheet of drywall on my ceiling and match my stomped ceiling with my existing ceiling. The first laborer that came to my house had never done a stomped ceiling before and I had to supply him with a ladder, drop cloth and help installing the sheet of drywall on my ceiling. It took him all day and he never completed the job because he had never done a stomped ceiling before. I was so upset that they sent someone that had never done this before to my house. So, my wife called the company and told them that they needed to have someone out that night to finish it. The owner told her that he would have someone out at 5:15. They never showed up or called. I called him after this and he stated that my wife was a liar. This went on for over a week with no one showing up or calling us to cancel our appointments. Do realize that this started back on Oct 29, 2007. They finally sent someone to my house to finish the job and he couldn't finish it because first guy didn't have the ceiling prepared correctly. In between sending so many different people to my house there were approximately 3-times that no one showed up when they were supposed to and never even called us. I kept having to call and complain over and over. Finally, I spoke with the owner and the owner stated that he would send someone out (3-wks into Nov.) They came alright and they just did the stomp without preparing the surface. We had to supply them with drop cloths, a stick and the roller that was needed. They walked out of my house with the ceiling texture on their shoes. I had $4,000 worth of carpet installed back in April that we had to scrub on our hands and knees. If their employees could've spoke english they might have apologized, but they didn't so they never said anything. That night we told them that this wasn't going to work, but i don't thinkl they understood. Their employee tried to get us to sign a satisfaction guarantee receipt. I refused and I told him they could have their other half of the money I owed them when they fix my damn ceiling. Once again I spoke with the owner who said he was sorry, but they were really busy right now and he had no one else to send to my house. So, now I have terrible looking piece of drywall on my downstairs ceiling. They have never called or came to my house to see when I wanted this fixed. I guess they thought I would just forget about all the crap they put me through during this ordeal. I kid you not, this was by far the worst company that I have ever dealt with. I am in the construction business as a Project Manager so I have plenty of experience. I suggest looking around and look past their nice website. It is very deceiving. I will almost guarantee they will either be late, not show up, not call you back and do a terrible job on your drywall. I suggest doing it yourself. It would probably look better anyway.
